Lab- Head, Target Discovery ? Validation
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with a background in oncology target discovery, ID and Validation with a strong emphasis on Biologics targets, and a strong publication record. The successful candidate will be expected to lead a team in the target ID and validation section of Oncology. As a lead scientist you will initiate understanding and validation of novel biologic targets and establish cancer dependency. Candidates with experience in validating functional antibody targets, 3D culture systems and primary tumor cell cultures are highly desired. Alternative models of drug resistance such cancer stem cells is a plus. Knowledge of core oncogenic signaling pathways, role of tumor stroma is desired. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, and interface with drug discovery and translational medicine groups. This position requires a detailed knowledge of cutting-edge molecular, biochemical and cellular drug discovery approaches and an ability to excel in a goal-oriented, multifaceted and fast-moving environment. Prior drug discovery, target identification and supervisory experience in a biotech or pharma setting are highly desirable. Additionally, the candidate is expected to lead research associates in activities ranging from target validation and assay development to cellular screens and exploration of mechanism of action of leads.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
PhD and postdoc in cancer biology or related field, with excellent publication record 3-5 years industry/relevant experience with hands-on background working with matrixed project teams Target validation experience with Biologic targets Strong conceptual understanding of basic cancer signaling pathways Independent, self motivated and innovative Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal and team skills; track record of success working collaboratively
