Position Summary
goal of this position is to implement on-going outcome evaluation of the
agency's core programs, to further develop the outcome evaluation strategy to
provide information for effective program improvement, and to develop efficient
and effective evaluations for the piloting of process and intervention
improvements that yield information on both proximal and distal outcomes of
interest to the agency.
Essential Duties and
The Director of Evaluation will be responsible for the
following tasks:
• Direct the agency's on-going outcome evaluation
efforts including oversight of data collection through the call center, which
includes twelve staff positions (some filled with part-time staff)
• Utilize best practices from the survey and
evaluation fields to improve data collection efforts in the agency
• Develop the agency's capacity to utilize
technology for data collection through electronic surveys and consumer-facing
• Create and implement data management plans for
inclusion of administrative data (e.g., criminal justice data, education data)
into the ongoing outcome evaluation process
• Coordinate with other teams within the Division
of Data Science, including the Analytics and Reporting Team, the Data Quality
Team, and the Business Intelligence Team to efficiently and effectively use the
agency's resources to determine the outcomes experienced by the children and
families we serve, as well as by staff and by the systems in which we provide

Job Requirements
Education Requirements
Ph.D. degree in evaluation or related
field strongly preferred; Master's degree in evaluation or related field and
commensurate experience in a closely related setting required

Experience Requirements
3+ years of relevant experience in a behavioral
health or social service evaluation role
Experience in design and implementation of
evaluation methodologies and in producing accurate and insightful
recommendations based on evaluation findings
Prior experience with evaluation in a behavioral
health, social service, or related setting
Experience with using evaluation to discover
insights to drive key clinical and operational performance improvement
Strong familiarity with current developments in
the field of evaluation, particularly related to using consumer-facing
technology for data collection
Experience with presentation of evaluation
findings to stakeholders at all levels
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
Knowledge and experience with relevant
statistics and proficiency in at least one statistical package (e.g., SPSS, R,
Stata) required
Knowledge of SQL a plus
