The position requires a Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Physics, Materials Science or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of polymer science and hands on experience with polymers are required as well as knowledge and expertise with at least one of the following techniques - optical, neutron scattering or dielectric spectroscopy.
- The candidate should be able to work independently and participate creatively in refining project directions.
- The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, and be able to interact effectively with a broad range of colleagues.
- Applicants must be within five years of completion of PhD requirements and must complete all the degree requirements before starting their appointment. Tentative starting date is September-November 2011
